Our Geography
The Turkey Creek Conservation District serves central to northern Pueblo County, extending south to the Arkansas River, and includes areas within adjacent portions of Fremont and El Paso Counties as reflected in state designation and mapping. The district’s service area includes agricultural lands with active farming and ranching operations, as well as rural and semi-rural communities facing drought, wildfire risk, and land management challenges.
The district also serves areas experiencing land use change and population growth, where landowners and communities benefit from locally driven guidance on natural resource stewardship, soil health, and land management practices.
